LEAF COLLECTION WILL TAKE PLACE NOVEMBER 2, 2026 – DECEMBER 03, 2026 IN THE BOROUGHS.
BOROUGH RESIDENTS THAT CARE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LEAF COLLECTION SERVICE MUST FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES BELOW:
- Rake piles of leaves to the curb. They must be IN the street, not the yard, grass strip, or sidewalk.
- Place leaves in windrows, long narrow piles, for easier pick up.
- The piles should be no higher or wider than three feet.
- Cars should not be parked within the collection space, and NEVER over the leaves, as the leaves could ignite.
- No trash, brush, twigs, sticks or animal waste is permitted. Piles with trash will NOT be collected.
- Approximately thirty feet is needed for the sweeper to pull into the curb to collect the leaves and thirty feet on the other side of the windrows to pull away from the curb.
- Unfortunately, in some sections of town due to parking constraints, this collection space might not be available. Neighbors working together can solve this problem by collectively parking their vehicles to allow sufficient space for leaf collection.
- Please be patient if you are missed, collecting leaves takes time.
- Leaves may not be picked up according to a specific schedule because of unknown factors, such as, the volume of leaves, equipment challenges, and weather conditions.
- PLEASE CHECK THE DISPLAY BOARD IN FRONT OF THE OFFICE TO VERIFY THE COLLECTION DATES AND FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.
As with any such endeavor, the collection process may be cumbersome. We will appreciate your assistance and patience.
